Kent Komets aim to develop talented and enthusiastic individuals to compete at regional and national competitions. We take safety very seriously, so members are expected to behave sensibly on and around the trampolines during all sessions. Mainly though, everyone comes to Kent Komets because they really enjoy trampolining in a safe and friendly atmosphere. The club runs various classes on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays at two different locations. All of our members have their own reasons for bouncing.
We cater for all levels from beginners to advanced. As you progress through the British Gymnastics (BG) Award Scheme you will gain certificates and badges. You don't have to be into trampolining to benefit from it, we've passed our aerial expertise on to a wide range of people from stunt men and women to wakeboarders. Many sports require aerial and spacial awareness , balance and co-ordination, but few have as much time in the air as we do. All classes are headed by our qualified senior club coach, Sarah, who has had many years experience in teaching the sport of Trampolining. All the coaches at the club are trained to a high level, we try to encourage our national performers and any members who have an interest in teaching to go on to complete the British Gymnastics coaching syllabus. Over the last seven years the club has gained funding for the purchase of its own equipment through the foundation of sport and the arts, but we're really grateful to our members and friends of the club who raise funds for all those much needed extra bits. |
